Were you a wedding planner???:idontno: I'm falling outta my chair here. Really?

But truly, there is nothing worse than an obnoxious bride and her mother. They are the duo of death.
Not a complete wedding planner -- I planned numerous events includingmany wedding receptions, probably a good 50-60, but only a handful of actual weddings. "Robert," a lurker and occasional SoWal poster, attended the wedding reception which I planned for his Dad and Step-mom. They were the most funn with whom to work -- Good peeps.

Now get off the floor and back into that chair. :D

I think the job that I would hate the most would be WEDDING PLANNER!

Don't get me wrong, I think weddings are truly wonderful and often a lot of fun to help with. I just would not want to have a career where the misuse of carnations could make or break you. Way too much pressure!

I agree. On my wedding day the florist came and dropped off the flowers. I saw my bouquet and burst into tears. It was nothing like I picked out and I thought it resembled the shape of a candy cane..not a flowing cascade. I had dreamed about the beautiful flowers....roses, freesia, tulips, gerbera daisies...they were all in there just not positioned well. There was nothing that could be done about it. If I had had a wedding planner...this would have been a good person to take it out on!

I would hate to be anything medical. People or animal. There's a reason those jobs pay the big $$. Blech!!! Just dealing with bodily fluids and having to cut into flesh is enough to give me the screaming heebie jeebies.

If you had a good wedding planner, she would know what you wanted and would have stopped by the florist well in advance to check and be certain that everything was going as planned. ;-)

It's taking me awhile to digest this. You must be the most patient person that ever lived. 50-60 wedding receptions?? I'm still on the floor!

Someone get her a bucket of ice-cold water and a chair. :funn:

How about the dude that has to adjust the microphone height on the Golden Globes! :rolling: I love watching that little thing wiggle up and down. Classic! :funn:

Smiley J...I used to be in the event biz. Too much pressure! I guess I just get paniky easily. Not to mention..I worked for a lunatic.

14 hours at Abercrombie & Fitch, when all of the kids are out of school and the mall is packed.

One of the nastiest jobs I've ever heard of were the poor guys who had to clean up the millions of formerly frozen chickens that were stored in a warehouse in the New Orleans area before Katrina hit. By the time they got to cleaning up what was left of the tons of chickens (luckily they were packaged!), they were 30% liquified! Not to mention the safety hazard of the trucks as they skidded on the chicken fat....yuk! And the stench! They were all hauled to a site in Louisiana and buried. You could smell the site about a mile before you ever got there. I'd hate to have been the poor employees stuck dealing with that mess. Bet they won't ever eat chicken again!

Oh! On the subway they have ads for that Dirtiest Jobs show.

They say stuff like...New Yorkers eat thousands of fish every day, where do the parts that we don't eat go? And stuff about pigeon poop and who cleans it up. And that New Yorkers produce x amount of sewage, the pipes don't clean themselves.

I thought of this thread when I saw them.
