Also, about that statistic, do you happen to know how many of these suicides happened immediately after a homicide by the same person. That seems to happen a lot, ya know. If fact, a lot of mass murderers end up doing the suicide thing, which, doggone it, kind of messes up this statistic.

It still leaves you with well over 10000 firearm homicides. The other thing is it's quite likely a lot of drug deaths occur to people who were seriously ailing, weakened, and near end of life. The more important question is, how many drug deaths were due to the victim being forced to ingest drugs? How many drive by druggings have there been? These false comparisons are getting out of hand. I wish some people would actually think about what they are saying and not waste our time with such utter B.S. There is absolutely no comparison between the two situations. Do people who make these arguments actually believe what they are saying? If so that's more troubling than if they are trying to put one over on us. It sounds like the typical conservative brain at work (or not).
