Concealed weapon permits in Walton County

your indefensible position is, fortunately an ever shrinking minority view. the second amendment was passed for citizens shouldering flintlocks. Now it protects mostly redneck ak shouldering pinheads. time is not on your side.

indefensible? your ability to ignore the constitution is indefensible. the 2nd amendment was passed for citizens like myself and you. good luck to you, i've at least got the constitution on my side. you, just a weak point of view and an agenda that suits your needs, not the country and the foundation for which it was built. your redneck pinhead ak comment shows your true colors and real position. i'm sorry that you weren't a founding father, that is not our fault. get over it.

Yes you do have the constitution on your side. The constitution is a living document and it will change. Enjoy fondling your Bushmaster while you can. Your thinking is the problem and people are dying because of it. You are just a kid in a grown up suit. Would that Butler Elementary was the school that was attacked, you wouldn't post any of your redneck agenda.

no responsible person passes out dynamite at sunday school. why is this so hard, it's pretty simple bob.
by that reasoning, all weaponry/munitions should be readily available to responsible citizens. You are spouting stupidity that ignores reality. if you give unlimited access to weapons of war, you get unlimited mayhem. it's a numbers game and it has nothing to do with responsibility. lookey here joebob, that feller in boston was unresponsible. what a shame!!

Maybe a test in ability to reason is what the gun owners should be required to pass. I think this thread has been hit with a barrage of fails in that regard. What joebob seems to ignore is that words, whether spoken or meticulously documented by the founders will be interpreted by the people who matter, and that is the SC. There are going to be some differences of opinion as to whether or not certain restrictions can be placed on the right to bear arms, and this is up to the court. Nowhere in the second amendment does it say that government shall have no oversight in the administration of this right. I believe that the SC would agree with that sentiment unanimously and would rule against the interests of jimbob. A strict interpretation of the amendment could lead one to believe that allowance of one revolver for everyone satisfies this right. In any event, the SC has already ruled that limitations can be placed on this right:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution

In District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008), the Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment "codified a pre-existing right" and that it "protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home"[9][10] but also stated that "the right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose". They also clarified that many longstanding prohibitions and restrictions on firearms possession listed by the Court are consistent with the Second Amendment.[11]

If I were joebob, I would be in favor of an amendment to the constitution in order to clarify the nature of allowable restrictions. Otherwise it's up in the air since the SC is not getting any more firearm friendly as time goes on, and neither is the American public.

you clearly demonstrate that you have a bias by your continued use of terms like joebob, rednecks, militiadreamer, etc. it demonstrates your position without a single question asked. probably caused by the media and your inability to articulate a sound position. calling me redneck doesn't get it done, sorry. yes, you got one right. the person in boston was unresponsible - not the bomb. you make it even more evident that you don't understand responsible gun ownership when you use terms like "numbers game" and "unlimited mayhem". keep up the rhetoric, it's all you have and ultimately exposes your position for what it is - weak and pathetic.

People with knives kill people, people with cars kill people, people with bats kill people and so on and so forth. People are the problem not the instruments they use. It is ludicrous to think that taking guns from law abiding citizens are going to solve any of these horrific events. I am amazed that someone here is calling someone else here a redneck cause he has a gun. I guess I am a law abiding redneck as well. Tough gun laws mean only the criminals have guns. Please think before u post or we all will be eating with our hands, walking everywhere and playing our national past time with feathers. Wake up people!!!

Would you take a bat to a gunfight?
