Petition To Protect Soldier Monuments

New posts
Okay I understand your perspective. You are able to make judgement on these soldiers because they "aligned themselves with a system of abject evil". In other words your enemy must be demonized so that you can justify your judgment of the hearts and minds of those young soldiers. You simply do not know the hearts and minds of those dead soldiers and that is the failed logic. When you make such a judgement in character you should have very personal information which you do not have. Usually when people make these kind of judgments on other humans it is because of some fear of something. You should look into the mirror and ask yourself what it is you fear. You can have your perspective if it makes you feel better but I can assure you I do not agree with it. I think we all should look into the mirror every once in a while so this is not an insult.

Here you are accusing Bob of judging someone's mindset while judging his mindset, innaccurately I might add. I'm not here to defend Bob, but damn he states my viewpoint on this issue better than I could. Whether or not one knows the hearts and minds of the soldiers is irrelevant anyway. What is more important are the hearts of minds of those here today in 2015 who continue to support their lost cause of "abject evil". This speaks volumes about their character, and how they cannot realize this, is beyond me.

I don't think you support slavery but people think you support slavery if you support the flag of slavery.

Again Jensky....when have I ever condoned slavery? You assuredly won't change my world.

One follows the other. I'm not saying it's right but it is what it is. The more you defend the flag, the more people think you are racist and a lover of slavery. I don't want to change your mind, or your hertige love.

If you admit that people see you as a racist when you defend the flag, then you will prove you have some intelligence.

How many times do I have to say that I am NOT defending that f-ing flag Jensky? I am defending the LAW! You want to insult my intelligence but lets not negate how dense you appear to be because you can't grasp the idea that the flag means nothing to me and I don't care if it stays or goes.

Has it even occurred to you that had the Uhlfelder's set about changing the law making it illegal to fly that flag on Government property (rather than what they actually did) we wouldn't even be having this stupid conversation because I would support the law???

Don't stoop to petty insults regarding what you believe is my intelligence or moral beliefs are, when clearly you can't grasp what it is that I actually support.

So you fear my viewpoint and have to label me? Why do you need to put people in boxes? "Outsiders" might change your little world? I am not from outside and I am far from far left. Do you have to be far left to be against slavery?
I have not labeled you. I said it was a far left perspective. Demanding changes (rather than changing the law) to dismantle an unequal society is pretty far left in my opinion.

People who tend to overlook "abject evil" in favor of rewriting history speak volumes to character or the lack thereof also,

I guess a vocabulary is not part of your repertoire. I'm not the one "overlooking" the evil, you are, so in a weird accidental way, you actually made sense for the first time in your life. Cherish the moment.

LOL!

Say's the guy who won't speak to the "abject evil" perpetrated by the government.

Misty, I will remind you, for about the tenth time, that slavery was mentioned as the cornerstone of the Confederacy, in the Cornerstone Speech by the vice-president of the Confederacy. Is it your position that these words are not the true history? They seem to be well accepted as the true cornerstone of the Confederacy. Or is it your position that slavery isn't evil?
Please clarify.

I have clarified my position in regard to slavery. You and the "remove it" crew refuse to accept what I've said. Our Government has perpetrated many "abject evils" that most of you refuse to acknowledge while harping on slavery and how evil it was.

If killing lots of people is part of your criteria for judging evil then Abraham Lincoln is pretty evil. He just happened to be on the "right" side of history. Andrew Jackson killed millions of Native Americans including women and children and literally stole millions of acres of land from them. Jackson perfected the art of "ethnic cleansing". Harry Truman ordered the US military to drop atom bombs on Japan that literally incinerated millions of CIVILIAN men women and children that also crippled/mutilated many more even though Japan was willing to surrender. William McKinley's "take no prisoners, kill and burn them all" resulted in tens of thousands of Filipino deaths and thousands more in the concentration camps that they were herded to. James Buchanan sided with the South in regard to slavery and colluded with the Supreme Court which set the stage for the civil war.

More recently, George Bush invaded Iraq under false pretenses (WOMD's) resulting in the deaths of thousands of US troops and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi citizens. James Polk and his "Manifest Destiny" resulted in the death of 25,000 Mexicans and the theft of Southwest North America. Franklin Roosevelt for the imprisonment of 100,000 Japanese Americans for simply "looking Asian". Lyndon Johnson for expansion of the Vietnam war while lying to the American people about the reason and prospects for the war. Richard Nixon further expanded that war and illegally spied on Americans. Last but certainly not least Dwight D. Eisenhower for authorizing the overthrow of the Iranian Gov. resulting in countless political murders which gave rise to Muslim extremism.
