2011 State of the Union Address

New posts
Andrew,
You sound biased and quite frankly- radical in your assessment of Obama. The guy is a centrist- not only according to the pundits but in comparison to presidents in the last 100 years based on policy. I can prove it if u make me.

He is only a centrist when tempered by a republican controlled congress. His speeches of the past show without a doubt that given complete control he would not implement centrist policy. Personally I'm fine with him as president as long as this balance is in place.

Loved the speech, the delivery, and the direction the President wants to take us into the future.... But I have one overarching question? Why was John Boehner darker than the President?

Perhaps it was because he uderstands those "OBAMA investing" phrases" are really nothing more than continuing spending increasing our debt...that would make any of us with any sense have a dark scowling look.

Geo,

He was identified as the most liberal Senator based on his voting record before he was President. For a genius he sure acts and says a lot of idiotic things. He won't even release his grades much like John Kerry because he scored lower than Bush. Didn't exactly fit in with labeling Bush a dunce. This revelation didn't get out until well after the election.

I suppose anybody who disagrees with Obama is a radical. So be it, the majority radicals are voting out Dems like crazy. You can't isolate the majority. It's like me trying to isolate one of you for being liberal on this board.

Like I said before we disagree. You decide to take it another level and call me names (radical). Try and be mature.

Are you implying that black people are racist?

It wouldn't take much of an opponent to topple the fiscal disaster that is Obama. If you want to keep your doctor liar in chief.

He's had twice as many Quayle moments yet the hyopcrites that support him give him a free pass? There's a ton of reasons he wont pull through.

The GOP controlled House will rein in his radical left agenda making him appear more moderate. This will help but I think Americans in two more years will be tired of the continued recession and want someone fresh but not inexperienced like Obama.

Andrew,
If saying you sound biased and radical in your assessment above of this POTUS is calling names and being immature then I guess I am an immature name caller.

Compare the politics and policies of your favorite conservative heroes of the past and you'll discover that they were more liberal than Barack Obama. Eisenhower would be labeled a socialist. Ronald Reagan wouldn't pass the republican purity test today. Save for Iraq- Bush was a bleeding heart liberal.

There is healthy disagreement on this board. I like that part. There also are those who rely largely on sound bites and get much of their info from blogs or cable TV - that part I find tiring and a frustration, whichever side it comes from.

Were you aware that GW chose not to release his grades either? Do you know why either of them chose not to? How much lower were his scores than Bushes? Please share your knowledge with all of us because I'm sure most of us are anxiously waiting.

I'm wondering how many idiots manage to get positions at universities as constitutional law professors and praise from former students.

Could you also share just a few of the many idiotic things he says? .................... I find your diatribe here a predictable yawner, but have come to expect it from you. How about a New Year's resolution to share more information with us than just rants about how you dislike Obama and liberals.

I am registered as an Independent but consider myself socially liberal and more fiscally conservative or centrist. And I am proud to say I'm liberal in that respect! I see it as a positive.
