American Sniper

New posts
Since you quickly forgot, let me refresh your memory.
Another thing that increases your chances of coming home is if you have a relatively cushy job, like being a sniper for instance.
Remember now??? Don't even try and claim you were not directing your comments towards this war hero.
I'm glad you are an expert on the "cushy job" of a sniper. Please tell me when you finished SEAL and sniper training. Have you served four tours while being constantly shot at while the enemy has a bounty on your head? Please tell!!!

Most of my heroes have cushy jobs.

I owe my life to Kris Kyle, but also to the fact that mother was a slut and dad did not like to use the condom. Look how I turned out!

Kyle NEVER called Ventura by name in the book or anywhere else from what I have gathered. Seems to me that this lawsuit was another of Ventura's "conspiracy theories" to me........(maybe a bit of guilty conscience??)

Perhaps you should WATCH the video in the link provided by leader. I believe the interview with O'Reilly was what prompted Ventura to file his lawsuit. As was already pointed out, the jury heard from witnesses on both sides plus a taped deposition by Kyle and determined that he was a liar.

Beach mouse did you happen to notice where the trial took place? St. Paul, MN, home of former gov Jesse Ventura. How about we have the appeal in Dallas, TX? I don't know what really happened because I wasn't there. If he actually disrespected a fallen soldier to his family and friends, then shame on him. It's hard to believe a guy that tried to sue the federal gov just a few years ago because he felt violated when he was searched at the airport. When the courts threw out the case, what did this former governor do? He said that he was applying for dual citizenship so he could spend more time in Mexico. It gets even better. Next he states that he will never stand again for the national anthem, instead he will turn his back and raise his fist. He has caused more damage to his reputation than from anything Chris Kyle ever said. It's hard for me to believe a guy that has filed multiple lawsuits in recent years in search of a big payday while also openly vowing to disrespect the flag and country that thousand of soldiers have given their lives defending. If Ventura truly wants his reputation restored then he should have dropped this lawsuit whether it was true or not when this man was murdered. Going after a widow and her two young children won't restore your honor.

Sounds as if the real Chris Kyle is a very interesting character. Someone should make a movie about him.

I read one review of the movie that said it would have been better if it did show that Kyle could be an unreliable narrator, but Eastwood wouldn't do that kind of subtlety in a war movie.

I saw the movie yesterday. It is violent and full of foul language but you can expect that when creating a depiction war. The point was made concerning Chris Kyle's feelings. He believed returning to be not only a sniper but a team leader as well was necessary to defend his comrades. Believe me, two tours is a lot and four are unbelieveable as far as mental affects on an individual are concerned.

A word about Jesse Ventura. For the greater part of his life he was a professional wrestler. A profession full of deceit and sham. Need more be said as to his character.

Full of deception and deceit? He was an entertainer for chrissakes! I suppose we need to question the integrity of Clint Eastwood. He was an actor most of his life. A profession full of deceit and sham. Need more be said about his character.

And the deceased guy who played Superman couldn't actually fly. Has he no shame? Also, damn that Sigfried and Roy, Houdini, and David Copperfield. Some of the jokes Bob Hope used to tell were based on fictional events. Rumor has it that Rodney Dangerfield actually got more respect than the average person.
