THANK YOU to several sweet SoWal travelers today along this stretch crossing Western Lake. Drivers were flashing their lights in warning going both ways. Sure enough, he was right there. Plenty of traffic but we were all somehow going very slowly like good little drivers.

Way to pull together fellow people!

Touron or Locaron if they are speeding across that dangerous bridge/bike path, I am not going to warn them to slow down to avoid a ticket.

So you're supporting speeding on that bridge whose shoulder is also the bike path there which is literally only inches away from the roadway. However, I applaud anyone who has ever gotten even close to the speed limit there.

Us long time sowallers DO appreciate the warning because most of the time we are too busy watching the people with kids driving the golfcarts, lookie-lou's, and all the other folks in that bike path that dont realize they are on a MAJOR thoroughfare for the area. All those people that cook/serve you lunch, remodel your house, fix your toilet,A/C or clean your house/rental.. also have to use that stretch of road. While some people are blowing up said service industry workers phone wanting to know why they are 15 minutes late might want to figure in the unpredictablity of having to navigate a poorly thought out bike path. We all have to be patient and try to live the 30A life. Chill out.. the housekeeper, A/C repairman, the server that is running late and causing your drink/dinner to be slow has to deal with things beyond their conrtol and will be there shortly...
