Well I thought I was done working for the day. The wheels of my truck touched my driveway and my cellphone rang...So I'm back. :bang:

When Will was about 2, he started to sass us a bit , or at least as much as a 2 year old can. We told him to stop being a smartmouth. Well one day, Bdarg was teasing him and Will said "Stop being a Fartmouth, Dad!". We were horrified until we realized he couldn't say "sm".

Last year at pre-school, Kate announced to her class and both teachers that "Meet the Fokkers" was a great movie. Except she didn't pronounce Fokkers correctly.

My nephew's father was a truck driver for a while. He had serious speech problems and when asked what his father did for a living, he replied, "He is _ucker". (Tried to keep clean.) We laughed a bunch.

My daughter has a learning disability in auditory processing and is constantly confusing words. She drinks hot "spider" instead of hot cider. The best is when she saw umbrella covers at The Cheescake Factory and wanted some. So we sent her inside to get one and she comes out wearing them on her arms and said, "They only have long and short, so I got the short ones." We think she thought the covers worked like an umbrella. Needless to say we laughed for a very long time. That is why I miss her at college, she is so much fun.

my mom tells 2 stories on me - the first is when hell's angels were in our town for something, i was maybe 4 years old and we were in the local drugstore. a couple of the angels passed us in the store, and i said "look mommy, there's jesus !", mom said the guy cracked up. the second story is when we went to panama city to visit my aunt and uncle stationed down there in the air force. i took my bath and asked my aunt if i could use her good-smelling powder, and she said i sure could, so i proceeded to powder myself from head to toe with ajax. why is it my mom can't remember what she ate for breakfast yesterday, but she can sure remember all the little stories !

It looks like the kid on the left is trying to light farts. :floor:

That's Alex. Now nearly 19 years old, he's still in business. Some things just never change.

Did any of yours ever say the wrong words for things? For the longest time our son would talk about all the chickens making noises in the trees in the summer. It took us a while to figure out he was talking about crickets.
My 2 year old yells out "Phuck" every time he sees any large truck, tractor, etc. Our 7 year old has had hundreds of words that he pronounced wrong. We regret that we didn't keep a book of them to show him later. Examples- floor=ploor, our dog Molly was Lolly for several years, Pop Tarts were Plots, no kidding, and he used to say RuRu when he saw a lizard. Kids are pretty funny.
