Didn't mean to ignore your post. We acquired a residence for our daughter in Midtown ATL, and I've been busy hiring a moving company, packing up 4 rooms of her furniture and household items that I bought for her when she first moved to Atlanta, all scattered around our house after she decided to move from the apartment to the sorority house. I'll miss her white, slipcovered sofa in our bedroom, her Williams-Sonoma baking pans, and her $100 W-S pepper grinder (got it at a sale price). So I told my husband that's what I want for Valentine's Day - W-S bakeware (like we have at the beach house but not at home) and a new pepper grinder.

BTW did you happen to have on red toenail polish when that happened? I've stopped wearing red toenail polish at the beach because the minnows and other fish attack me when I wear red polish.

sara82 might not have top-of-the-line like BR's daughter, but at least for sara82 the beach has no competition.
We now have a major mystery solved. BR's daughter always refuses to visit SoWal because she's too busy baking in the kitchen! Hmmm, baking or beach? baking or beach? BAKING!!BR, take the fancy kitchen goods from that girl or you'll never see her in SoWal again!

Did you know that sweet sara82 is going to be in SoWal at the end of this month for a long weekend? She is taking a well deserved break from her job and finishing grad school apps and is in the lucky postion of having generous parents letting her stay rent free!

My children aren't as lucky! Freshman son of Mermaid was turned down cold when he inquired about Spring Break at the beach. NO NO NO NO Mermaid might be oblivious to many of the nuances of teenage language but there are some instances where she is perfectly capable of reading in between the lines...

I'm with you Mermaid mom, because you have a freshman son. That adorable condo might get seriously trashed. I'm sure when he is older you can let him enjoy it. There's a time and place for that. Spring break can be wild. I saw the pictures...it'll curl any mothers hair. The stories oh the stories, PantyBra City was never the same.
