We just experienced our first visit to Coco's. The medium marg is WAAAYYY too big. Then we had LOTS of chips, then tamales- yum. So, so much for So Well on Sowal. :(

How's the salsa? I'm in search of the best salsa. Too many of the restaurants puree their tomatos until the salsa is more like tomato juice. :bang:

can I have a whippin' if I want one?:floor:

Absolutely!!

IBD: I too was in a slump (kind of in general) and I read this article this morning -- it's for work (about leadership and change) but I thought it was great. It's short and it talks about making changes -- It inspired me to change my identity from "feeling frumpty" to "fabulous". The guy who wrote it used to be very overweight and, though he was/is extremely successful, looked horrible (pale, overweight, not heading toward a long and healthy life). Well, he went away on a "mission" for his churce for three years and he came back fit and trim and no one recognized him. So, he speaks about change from personal experience. After reading the short 3-page article, I made up a whole little change plan for me today (while the workshop participants were watching a video) and I'm so excited about it (some has to do with weight/health, some with family, and some with work).

Paula, when I get more than five minutes, I can't wait to REALLY read this. It's been hectic for a couple of days. But, I love what you said here!

:lolabove: ....dd could burn some serious calories! What time is it there Paula?

I need to!

Hello...my name is Beachbummett...and I am a foodoholic:shock:

Sorry, did not go back and read from the page one...so I don't know where to start...but I need help! I have never weighed this much in my life. So, fellow sowal wenches...I am weighing in today.

DD, crack that whip! (yes, i hear the song in my head) Whip it good!

Crack!! Snap!! BB, all is can offer you is my vast amount of wisdom on this topic:floor: We're glad you're here! And if I could say one thing it's if you don't know where to start, start slow. Increase your exercise some and maybe reduce portions. Girls?

Well, I won't be hopping back on the wagon today. IBD gave me a gorgeous pumpkin pie yesterday. I'm having it for breakfast, and probably lunch and dinner. Sorry gulls.

Yeah, I already heard about that pie. But, in Section 14, Part 2, Subsection 3 of the SoWell Mofo Wenches Committee Rules, pumpkin pie is allowed after one has moved hundreds of miles and is starting a whole new life. This rule only applies for one week, or until the pie is gone, whichever comes first.

Just a drive by to tell y'all I'm THINKING about committing>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Come on!!! Just do it!!!

Ok ladies - sorry I didn't chime in yesterday on official weigh-in day. I needed to wait until after I worked out at the Y tonight and attempted to redeem myself after several days of misbehaving (I can't remember the last time I ate pizza 3 times in 4 days!)

Anyway, the good news is I finally reached my goal of losing 120 lbs last week. The bad news is I ate too much pizza over the weekend and gained a few back. But I went to the Y tonight and rode the elliptical for 55 minutes AND did all my weight machines. So I'll be back on track before you know it (and hopefully back down to my goal weight within a week!) After tomorrow I am off of work for 5 straight days, so it should be easy for me to find time to continue working out and cook healthy meals. If I get back down to my goal, I'll reward myself with a cosmo or two (haven't had one in over 6 months - next Monday is my b-day and I'll have been officially living this healthier lifestyle for a year!)

And if I can do this ladies, anyone can - take it from someone who could look back on the first 42 years of her life and count on 2 hands the number of times she ever "really" exercised. It is never too late to change.

:clap_1: :clap_1: :clap_1: What an inspiration which I really need at this point.

Sorry I have been AWALL on SoWal....to many stresses in my life. Maybe things will calm down this winter. Got a sweet pm from dd and knew I had to come back to life. As for weight loss, each day is a battle so I just try not to mess up too badly.

Caution everyone: The BIG candy holiday is quickly approaching.

The SoWal wenches have this under control. We will be giving out travel bags of cheerios. :lie:
